Reach Volunteering and Newcastle CVS event in support of Trustees’ Week

Venue: The Collingwood Suite, Civic Centre, Barras Bridge, Newcastle NE1 8QH
This free event is aimed at anyone leading or supporting a trustee team. Led by Reach Chief Executive Sarah King and Newcastle CVS Chief Executive Sally Young, the event will provide advice on how to make sure all your trustees are engaged during these difficult times. It will include a workshop on building the trustee team and a session on how to optimise trustees’ skills, including the role of trustees in fundraising. The event will also feature a discussion on the make-up of trustee boards and whether they are right for a changed environment.

Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity's work. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. Trustees’ Week 2015 is 2–8 November, and is being officially launched at the NCVO / BWB Trustee Conference on 2 November 2015.
