Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise Trustees' Day, 5th November

Venue: Guide Hut, Glebe Avenue, Stirling
Time: 5th November, 3 - 5pm and 6 - 8pm

SVE will be marking Trustees’ Week 2013 with a special Trustees Day for our local voluntary groups.

This event is for trustees, but also for those who might be considering taking on a trustee’s role. Whether you’re a chairperson, treasurer, secretary or other member of a board, or are thinking of becoming one, there will be something of relevance to you.
For convenience, the day will be divided into an afternoon and an evening session. Each session will include the following:

- A presentation on Cloud computing – a new approach to IT (and potentially free to charities!) Delivered by Chris Seely, Central Agency.
- A presentation on Trustees’ Roles and Responsibilities – delivered by experts from OSCR, the Scottish Charities Regulator
- A Trustees Induction presentation - delivered by SVE, and outlining the training available from SVE in board skills, capacity building, etc.
- Information displays by SVE, Stirling Council and others.

Refreshments will be available, and there will be ample opportunity to network, share information and ask questions.

Organisations are also invited to use this event to promote themselves and recruit new trustees to their boards. They will have the opportunity to set up display/information stations in the Hall. (Please let us know as soon as possible if you intend to do this.)

A full Agenda will be sent out nearer the day.

This is an informal event, but please let us know if you will be attending so we can finalise catering arrangements etc. Email us at info@sventerprise.org.uk or phone 01786 469916.
