Community and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) are holding two events to celebrate Trustees' Week in 2013. The workshops will both take place on the 5th of November 2013 at CVSC's office in Colwyn Bay. The two sessions will be delivered by Simon Boex, Manager of the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) in Wales. Light refreshments will be provided.
Date: Tuesday 5th November 2013
Venue: CVSC, 8 Riviere’s Avenue, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, LL29 7DP.
Morning Session (09:30 - 12:30)
Topic: Being a better Trustee by using the free advice and guidance that is available
The morning workshop will examine some of the useful support, guidance and information available to Trustees from a variety of sources as well as introduce the new WCVA Governance Health Check. In this interactive workshop, participants will gain an understanding of the benefits to the health check and look at how they and their Trustees can better fulfil their role in regard to the organisation’s reputation and accountability.
Afternoon Session (13:30 – 16:30)
Topic: Self-regulation of fundraising: Getting the most out of the FRSB Tick
Following on from this theme, the afternoon session will focus on the self-regulation of funding and compliance with the Code of Fundraising Practice. Using interactive exercises, participants will explore the importance of fundraising self-regulation as part of an organisation’s quest for resources, and the significance of ensuring high standards to enable supporters to give with confidence.
The workshops are available for £10 each. If your organisation is a member of the FRSB, then you may attend the afternoon workshop free of charge, but you must still complete a booking form.
To request a booking form, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01492 534091.
