So You Want to be a Non-Executive or Trustee?
A workshop for prospective Trustees in the public and not-for-profit sectors

Trustees provide a great deal of benefit to charities. However, the transition from one sector to the other can be daunting and is increasingly competitive. Both WIG and Executive Action work with potential Trustee candidates, encouraging them to apply for roles, building their understanding and helping them tailor their experience to the not-for-profit sector.
With this in mind, we have created a one-day seminar that enables potential Trustee candidates to explore the culture, context, remit and key requirements of charity trustee roles, hear how others have fared in making the move, and learn how best to access and secure charity trustee appointments.
The WIG members' fee is £750 + VAT per delegate and the WIG non-member fee is £900 + VAT per delegate. This is inclusive of lunch, refreshments and a practical workbook.

Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity's work. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. Trustees’ Week 2015 is 2–8 November, and is being officially launched at the NCVO / BWB Trustee Conference on 2 November 2015.
