CVS Cheshire East (North West region) is holding the below event in Trustees’ Week:

Sir Graham Melmoth will be leading a discussion based on some elements of the Charity Commission’s checklist “15 Questions trustees need to ask” which covers the general areas of Strategy, Financial health, Governance, and Making best use of resources.  There will be opportunity for networking.

Sir Graham has a wealth of experience and expertise in both the business world and the community and voluntary sector.  His highest profile professional appointment was as Chief Executive of the Co-operative Group, a position he held during a critical period in its development, and which led to a knighthood for services to the retail industry. He also held many regional appointments here in the North West, as well as a variety of community and charity appointments. Since retirement Graham has served as chair of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, a trustee of the Charities Aid Foundation and is just coming to the end of a term as honorary president of the Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisations.
