Today sees the launch of part 3 of a series of model documents from charity recruitment specialist Prospectus (for the Trustee model from Week 1 and the Treasurer model from Week 2, see the 'Information for Charities' on the right hand side of this page). This week Prospectus, in support of Trustees' Week, have provided a model job description and person specification for the role of Chair.
This document can be used as a template, and it outlines the statutory details of the role, and the kind of knowledge and experience a candidate should hold.

Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity's work. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. Trustees’ Week 2015 is 2–8 November, and is being officially launched at the NCVO / BWB Trustee Conference on 2 November 2015.
