CVS Cheshire East: Understanding Insurance - Cheshire, 07/11/12

Date: 7th November 2012
Time: 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Venue: Audlem Methodist Church, Shropshire Street, Audlem, CW3 0AE

Insurance can be a difficult area for trustees and people running voluntary organisations. The balance between keeping costs down, safeguarding assets and covering risks is hard to manage and a good understanding is invaluable. Our speaker will be Brian Gelling from Daulby Read Insurance Brokers Lts. Brian has worked extensively with the community and voluntary sector, and will explain the duties, requirements and risks. The session will cover liability and abuse, fundraising risks, trustee indemnity and fidelity (losses suffered as a result of crime) but he will be happy to answer questions about any aspect of insurance.

Liz Hudson, Group Development Mnagaer from CVS Cheshire East, will give an update of news and information from the Charity Commission.

Attendees are invited to apply for one of the two five minute slots available to showcase their organisation's work. Please email: liz.hudson@cvsce.org.uk

A buffet meal will be provided.
