Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity's work. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. Trustees’ Week 2015 is 2–8 November, and is being officially launched at the NCVO / BWB Trustee Conference on 2 November 2015.

A day's invaluable practical learning for charity trustees, officers and other key volunteers and senior managers, finance and administrative staff. The morning sessions will concentrate on financial management, including tax and VAT updates, as well as tips on how to maximise tax efficient giving. The afternoon sessions will address practical governance, legal and regulatory issues.
Speakers include Cecile Gillard (charity lawyer) and Ed Marsh (charity accountant, auditor and independent examiner) of Burton Sweet and Peter Baumgardt (VAT consultant, Essential VAT Services, Broadley & Baumgardt Ltd).
