The evening will celebrate the valuable work carried out by trustees in the South Hams and provide information about becoming a charity trustee. The personal and professional benefits of being a charity trustee can be immeasurable and in these challenging times, your skills and experience can bring valuable additional help to local charitable organisations.
The evening will include: 'The Principles of Good Governance' a presentation from Beverley Jones, Programme Manager for the Total Support Project for the Devon Consortium, information and advice about trustee roles, inspiring talks from experienced trustees and information from several local charities looking for new members.

Trustees are the people in charge of a charity. They play a vital role, volunteering their time and working together to make important decisions about the charity's work. Trustees' Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference. Trustees’ Week 2015 is 2–8 November, and is being officially launched at the NCVO / BWB Trustee Conference on 2 November 2015.
