Trustee Series 2: How to be a better trustee - Bristol, 6/12/11

This session organised by Voscur, a Council for Voluntary Service, complements 'Why am I on the committee?' and looks in greater detail at how Trustees can be more effective in their role.

The session covers:
Governance and what it means in practice
Issues around the management and governance split
How to hold effective meetings
Risk and liabilities
How to make the most of trustees' talent
By the end of this session you will be able to take back more information and an action plan to your organisation.

Who's it for? This course is for anyone who needs to understand a bit more about their role on the board and who wants to be more effective. Ideally, you should have attended '
Why am I on the committee?' or 'Roles and Responsibilities 1' to attend this training.
